Fulbright at the Feast of Nations 2026
Feast of Nations 2026 celebrated the cultural diversity of the University of North Dakota community through an evening of international cuisine, music, and performance. The event brought together students, scholars, and community members to highlight global traditions and promote cross‑cultural understanding. Featuring performances from a wide range of cultural groups and a globally inspired dinner, the program created a welcoming environment for international students—including Fulbright participants—to share their heritage and engage with the wider community. This year’s Feast of Nations continued its tradition as UND’s largest multicultural event, fostering intercultural dialogue and strengthening support for international education.

Event Highlights
At the Fulbright table, we were honored to host a visiting Fulbrighter from Tajikistan and her two daughters. Their presence offered a meaningful opportunity to experience the diverse cultural “melting pot” that defines the Feast of Nations and reflects the broader spirit of American community life. Their engagement throughout the evening highlighted how Fulbright continues to foster cross‑cultural understanding for scholars and their families.
We also welcomed two UND undergraduate students currently preparing Fulbright applications. Sharing the space with Fulbright specialists, alumni, and visiting Fulbrighters allowed them to ask questions, build connections, and witness firsthand the strength of the Fulbright network. This interaction provided valuable encouragement as they move forward in their application process.
Additionally, we were delighted to have Fulbrighters visit from across the state—including participants traveling from Fargo and Bismarck. Their involvement enriched the atmosphere and created a supportive environment where Fulbright peers could mix, mingle, and strengthen statewide connections within the program. This statewide participation underscored the collaborative and community‑building nature of Fulbright engagement in North Dakota.
Fulbright Kick-Off Event
The Fulbright Kick-Off Event launched the new academic year by bringing together current participants, returning alumni, and prospective applicants. Attendees connected with one another, shared insights from their experiences, and gained valuable guidance as they prepared for the upcoming application cycle. The event highlighted the strength of the Fulbright community and its ongoing commitment to global engagement and exchange.
